Horror films
are a movie genre seeking to elicit a negative emotional reaction from viewers
by playing on the audience's most primal fears. They often feature scenes that
startle the viewer through the means of macabre and the supernatural and they
also do the physiological horror such as the Blair witch project also some times they may overlap with the fantasy and supernatural
genre. Horrors frequently overlap with the thriller genre and they nearly
always use special effects mainly to show gore .
Horror films
deal with the viewer's nightmares, hidden worst fears, revulsions and terror of
the unknown. Although a good deal of it is about the supernatural, if some
films contain a plot about morbidity, serial killers, a disease/virus outbreak
and surrealism, they may be termed "horror" they show this by doing a
list of shots mainly using different height angles to show power and the threat
by a character and also the other way round to show weakness of other
characters .
Action film
is a film genre where one or more heroes is thrust into a series of challenges
that require physical feats, extended fights and frenetic chases. They
occasionally have a resourceful character struggling against incredible odds
such as, life-threatening situations, an evil villain, the hero will usually have victory achieved at
the end after difficult physical efforts and violence.
Story and
character development are generally secondary to explosions, fist fights,
gunplay and car chases. is classical sped up action with cut throat dialogue lots of explosions and special effects mainly on borders of realism and comedy and thriller
there very easy to be intrigued because
they will make you relate with the character very quickly and usually that’s to
understand the motives for the violence also you see a lot of track shots point
of view shot and a lot non diegetic
pumped up music .
Crime
stories in this genre often highlight the life of a crime figure or a crime's
victims. Or they glorify the rise and fall of a particular criminals, gang,
bank
robber,
murderer or lawbreakers in personal power struggles or conflict with law and
order figures, an underling or competitive colleague, or a rival gang.
Headline-grabbing situations, real-life gangsters, or crime reports have often
been used in crime films. Gangster/crime films are usually set in large,
crowded cities, to provide a view of the secret world of the criminal: dark
nightclubs or streets with lurid neon signs, fast cars, piles of cash, sleazy
bars, contraband, seedy living quarters or rooming houses. Exotic locales for
crimes often add an element of adventure and wealth. Writers dreamed up
appropriate gangland .
Gangster films are morality tales: Horatio
Alger success stories turned upside down
in which criminals live in an inverted dream world of success and wealth. Often
from poor immigrant families, gangster characters often fall prey to crime in
the pursuit of wealth, status, and material possessions clothes and cars
because all other "normal" avenues to the top are unavailable to
them. Although they are doomed to failure and inevitable death usually violent,
criminals are sometimes portrayed as the victims of circumstance, because the
stories are told from their point of view.
Realism is going
on the bases that you are just trying to make as relatable to the audiences as possible
usually using a lot on natural lighting and realistic shots .
